Minutes for USAFA Gold Class Spirit Association
Call to Order
A regular meeting of USAFA Gold Class Spirit Association was held on December 15, 2019 via conference call. It began at 7:00 pm EST/4:00 pm PST and was presided over by Teri Williams, Co-President.
With minimal participation, including the Secretary due to illness, the following is Teri’s summation of the meeting, followed by Alice’s update on the Coin manufacturing.
Teri:
I think with all of the holiday hubbub, we had minimal participation in today’s conference. Here’s a summary…
As of now, we have 122 families that have donated to our Spirit Committee.
Total Collections: $28,661.86
Bank Balance: $20,257.83
Teri has created a spreadsheet of check donors and has cross-verified with Dan Cabo.
ACTION: Teri and jean need the information from Communication committee so we can login and see the donation report. Please email this information to [email protected].
Dan has checked the requirements for contributions, and it is the responsibility of the donor to ask for a letter if they would like a receipt. Otherwise, a cancelled check will suffice for tax purposes. So far, only one donor has asked for a letter and Teri will send Dan the information and he will send the letter.

Rationale: Instead of leaving in Marie’s office until March, send to Teri. She travels to Colorado Springs twice monthly and will transport to the Springs.
ACTION: Volunteer and Communications committee, solicit volunteers in the Springs area to help package. Point of discussion for next meeting.
Alice:
Once the last 3D revision comes back, I will send it to Teri and Jean as discussed for their OK and the coins can be minted. We will have them in hand within 10-14 days after the final version is ok’d — so in January at the latest with the holidays.
A reminder that the coins will come to us in individual plastic sleeves. I believe we discussed printing a card with an envelope to use to present them. I will have a few options regarding for the card design and the costs to discuss for the next meeting
